Hi! I’m Morgan.

I grew up as a competitive gymnast and multi-sport athlete. I got my first coaching job at the age of 16 and haven’t stopped since! Helping PEOPLE thrive is my passion. Even with nearly 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, I wake up every day excited to change lives. I’ve had the pleasure of working with all walks of life – from toddlers to those wise in their years, clinical populations to elite athletes and everyone in between.

I graduated with honors from Washington State University (go Cougs!) with a Master’s of Science in Dietetics, Nutrition, and Exercise Physiology. Not only am I a Pain Free Performance Specialist and an Exercise Physiologist, meaning I understand how your body functions during sport on a cellular level, but I am a Registered Dietitian with an advanced certification as a Board Certified Specialist in Sport Dietetics.

 

After college I became a personal trainer at one of the world’s premier health clubs near Seattle, WA where I climbed the ranks as a performance coach and mentor before I decided to embrace my gifts and launch my own performance company – Pure Grit Performance.

The biggest influence that has molded my professional and athletic career is navigating the ups and downs of living with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Having been diagnosed with a chronic disease, I understand what it can feel like to not have your health. If you relate, I see you. Managing health challenges can be difficult, but it doesn't mean you have to be less than. The greatest limiting factor of getting back to the things you love or performing on a high level, is the knowledge and creativity of the team that supports you.

 

This experience enables me to lead with empathy and compassion, to embrace the fact that you must learn how to work with your body instead of against it. It’s been pivotal in developing my foundational philosophy of a proactive, holistic approach to your health and fitness.  

I strive to always be learning. I enjoy diving into the latest research regarding nutrition, movement, and mindset. Studying and experimenting with different modalities while using evidence based practices to deliver my clients expert coaching advice.

 

I specialize in teaching average jo’s all the way to the fitness pro’s how to take their performance to the next level by learning to fuel and nourish their body, while creating a positive relationship with food.  Life is hard enough. Your nutrition and fitness does’t have to be.

 

I empower women to find their confidence through strength training and nutrition education while showing them how to embrace their unique physiology and utilize it as an ergogenic aid to enhance their performance while deciding their own standard of beauty. 

 

I married the coolest guy on the planet, who is also a Seattle Firefighter. Being part of the fire family has given me a special interest and deep respect for tactical performance and first responders. Helping them get to and through their career, performing their best, so they can live a long, happy retirement is a priority.

 

When I’m not coaching - I love to train and I love to play! I am professional bikini athlete for the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation but I mostly love training for life. You can find me hiking the PNW, riding a wave on the coast, playing with my pups, riding motorcycles, or chasing my next adventure. I am a total foodie at heart. My favorite hobby is brunch and I love to talk bourbon.
